Who's the guy behind these photos?

I am Janik, that's my name and that's how I was born in Hamburg in the year 1991. I started using computers at an early age and therefore became familier with PCs in my everyday life. I was always fascinated by the way things work and how they actually work.
I took my very first (creative!) photo in the year 1997 when my Dad left me waiting for him carrying a canoe on top of a car. I sneaked his camera and took my cuddly toy, which in fact was a grouse, for some fancy compositions with a cow.

I think this was the point when my creativity was unleashed. Certainly this was the point when my photographic energy started to brew, but I didn't start taking serious photos for years. My actual career as a photographer began in the year 2008, when I finally got my first DSLR - a Canon eos 350D. I started off by taking snapshots of nearly everything but soon became more and more professional and even finished my first commercial jobs.

I continued by combining my computer skills and began with post-work on my images with the early version of Adobe Lightroom. But the low bunch of features couldn't satisfy my needs so I began using Photoshop, for some serious post production or compositions. Nowadays I enjoy my workflow on a Mac with Aperture and Adobe Photoshop.
I really like the way of combining my photographic skills with the digital art and that's what my work represents.
